Election Results in the European Union

Between 23 and 26 May 2019 the citizens of those countries that are members of the European Union could participate in the 9th parliamentary election. A total of 751 Members of the European Parliament represent more than 512 million people from 28 member states.  The centre-left and centre-right parties suffered significant losses, while both environmentalist (green), pro-EU liberal, Eurosceptic and right-wing populist parties made substantial gains.
